The Indian Twist – A new beginning

logo fin

What started off as an idle dream a few months ago has finally taken shape!

I was just dreaming aloud when I told a friend that I want to start an online gift shop.

Two days later she called to say she’d given serious  thought to what I’d said and wanted to join me.  As usual,I had totally forgotten what I had said!

She reminded me and thanks to the brainstorming sessions I’d had with her, (now my partner in crime!) and all the inputs and reviews from friends and family,  months of chasing carpenters and fabricators, The Indian Twist, an online gift shop is finally a reality.

Designing is the easiest part! Getting them into workable products was the challenge, to put it mildly!

Do check out #mce_temp_url# to view the crazy Indian gifts designed by yours truly and her partner!

And do let me know what you think of the products, where they need to improve, etc.

Feedback is the only way I’ll know if this is indeed a dream worth pursuing!!

Shouldn’t the site look like an ecommerce site than like a blog?

    Yeah, will work on that!

I wanted to ask that when I saw the wp link. Wondered why was it on wordpress and not an ecom website, then thought may be its just the beginning, so..

Oh ok. but then it might not help search engines trace your blog easily.

The gifts look very nice, but I couldn’t easily find where to shop for them. I already want to gift the Ravana mug to a few friends! 🙂 Could you please give us the link to the online store itself?

thanx for the feedback! maybe we’ll add ‘how to order’ to the sidebar. we don’t have a website yet. right now to order, email us the shipping address and the product you want. we’ll send it to you. we’ll email the account number where you credit the amount. if you’re not into paying online, you can send the cheque across too.

Could you change the mouse pad line to “Who moved my mouse?” and send me a couple?

That’s a such a cute line! So typically you!!
Unfortunately our suppliers have a minimum order.. 😦 So doing only a couple will not be possible now… But surely will do it at a later date when its workable… Sooo sorry we cannot do it this time…

Wow.. really neat stuff. I don’t suppose you ship to the US? You should look at accepting paypal so people like us can order and ship to people in India. All the best with your new venture.

hey, thanx so much! we’ve applied for an export license number so we can ship stuff to other countries. should be getting it any minute. will let you know once we get it… 🙂

Hey, the designs are great. Check out ‘happily unmarried’ for competition. The list of outlets where they retail may be worth approaching for your products too.
    Cheers!
